Abstract:

This initial literature review explores the definition and role of creative entrepreneurship in Canada, from freelance artists to large and internationally-competitive firms, drawing on existing literature and data. It provides intersectional and gendered analysis on creative work and businesses, the role of creative entrepreneurship and creative labour in the innovation economy, and early analysis on the impact of the pandemic.
