Abstract: FilmOntario has completed the first in a planned series of studies exploring ways to improve the market share for Ontario feature films. The report sub-headed “Lessons from Quebec”pdf icon presents an overview of key Quebec organizations and initiatives in terms of their mandates, structures, successes, challenges and aspirations. It also provides a preliminary assessment of the potential applicability of lessons from Quebec for the feature film industry in Ontario, and lists prospective collective initiatives which may merit further consideration by the industry.
