Abstract: Commissioned by imagineNATIVE, this report presents case studies of successful indigenous screen-based film, television and digital media properties, as well as results of a survey of festivals that feature indigenous content, as a means of drawing out lessons for the Canadian context. A strategy is put forward for next steps to support the further growth and development of the indigenous screen industry in Canada.
